Mahomet-Seymour defeats Lincoln

Seniors Cayla Koerner and Ivie Juarez scored in double figures on Monday (Jan. 17) to spark the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team to a 46-37 win at home over Lincoln.

Koerner netted 13 points to go with three steals. Juarez added 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Savannah Orgeron contributed nine points. Nichole Taylor and Durbin Thomas each scored six points. Abigail Bunting grabbed five rebounds. Orgeron also pulled down five rebounds.

M-S opened up a 25-15 lead at halftime.

The Bulldogs (17-4 overall and 4-2 in Apollo Conference games) return to action on Thursday (Jan. 20) at Normal University High.
