For the second meet in a row, M-S swimmers on Wednesday set two school records in a quadrangular meet at Urbana.

One of the new record-setters is diver Carly Raver, whose score of 167.00 points broke a mark she had established on Saturday. She won the diving competition.

Olivia McMurry lowered the school standard in the 200-yard freestyle. She was the meet runner-up with a time of 2:13.30. McMurry was also the runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke.

Joining Raver as an event winner was teammate Eden Oelze, who was triumphant in the 100-yard butterfly. Oelze was also second in the 500-yard freestyle.

In all, nine Bulldogs secured top four performances, including two-event placer Natalie Heaton, who was fourth in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke.

Miranda Marcelli was second in the 100-yard freestyle, Payton Turk was second to Raver in diving, Grace Larson took third in the 200-yard individual medley, Olivia Ross was third in the 100-yard breaststroke and Anna Lagacy was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke.

M-S also won two of the three relays.

The Bulldogs outpaced the field in the 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle.

McMurry, Ross, Oelze and Marcelli teamed up for the win in the medley. McMurry, Marcelli and Oelze were joined on the winning 200 freestyle unit by Turk.

The second-place 400-yard freestyle foursome consisted of Marcelli, Kate Raver, Heaton and Ross.

M-S is 11-3 for the season and will return to action on Oct. 26 in the Urbana Uni High Invitational at the University of Illinois.
