Mahomet-Seymour Speech team places third at Bloomington

The Mahomet-Seymour Speech Team finished in third place out of 16 schools at the Bloomington High School speech tournament on Dec. 3.

Speech contests this season have returned to in-person tournaments. Several MSHS students advanced to the final round of competition and were recognized in their events: Eden Sanborn (5th place Varsity Prose Reading), Allison McGregor and Olivia Blackman (1nd place Junior Varsity Humorous Duet Acting), Kiersten Williamson (2nd place Junior Varsity Extemporaneous Speaking), Julia McPherson (2nd place Junior Varsity Poetry), KJ Jackson (3rd place Junior Varsity Impromptu), and Sabian Simpson (3rd place Junior Varsity Radio).
