Effingham outlasts Mahomet-Seymour boys’ basketball

Mahomet-Seymour’s boys’ basketball team led at the end of each of the first three quarters, but couldn’t hold on and dropped a 50-44 Apollo Conference decision in a boys’ basketball game at Effingham on Friday (Dec. 9).

The Bulldogs held a 24-13 halftime lead.

Wyatt Bohm led the Bulldogs with 10 points and five rebounds.

Tossing in eight points apiece were Dayten Eisenmann and Cade Starrick. Starrick was 3-for-3 from the field, including two shots from three-point range.

Braden Pagel contributed five points.

Eisenmann and Jake Waldinger each handed out five assists. Bohm totaled four assists.

M-S (3-5) returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 13) at Taylorville.
