Last-second shot clinches win for Mahomet-Seymour

Byron Lynch made a tie-breaking three-point shot with 3.9 seconds remaining on Tuesday (Jan. 18) as Mahomet-Seymour won a non-conference boys’ basketball game at home over Washington, 54-51.

Lynch hit a team-high 13 points.

M-S and Washington were tied, 36-36, after three quarters and were deadlocked, 51-51, in the waning seconds.

Blake Wolters contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Quenton Rogers also scored 10 points. Wyatt Bohm handed out five assists. Dayten Eisenmann had four assists.

M-S (9-10) snapped a three-game losing streak. The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday (Jan. 22) at home against Chatham Glenwood.
