Janda brings Bulldogs back to tie Mattoon

Jacob Janda scored twice in the final 20 minutes as the Bulldogs recovered from a two-goal deficit to salvage a 5-5 tie on Tuesday at home against Mattoon (10-2-3).

Kadyn Jones and Xavier Schmidt assisted on the late goals.

M-S (12-4-2) took an early lead with Logan Woodward, Eli Warren and Jones notching goals. Colten Brunner and Warren registered assists.

The M-S junior varsity team blanked Mattoon 1-0.

The varsity Bulldogs are 7-0-1 in Apollo Conference action and play at second-place Mount Zion today.
