Claybrooke and Hennesy records bests at Lake of the Woods

Mahomet-Seymour golfers Reis Claybrooke and Kelton Hennesy recorded their season-best scores on Thursday (Sept. 15), helping the Bulldogs to a team victory in a three-school meet at Lake of the Woods.

Claybrooke fired a 35 and Hennesy was just behind, at 36.

Posting scores of 40 each were Blake Harvey and Parker Clements.

Jacob Schoudel ended with a 42 and Leif Olson registered a 43.

M-S had its top team score of the season (151) and defeated Rantoul/PBL (161) and St. Thomas More (175).

The Bulldogs also entered a JV team, which compiled a 171.

The JV co-leaders were Brogan Hennesy and Jake Rothlisberger, each with 42s. Cole Thrasher (43), Ethan Peterka (44) and Zach Blumenshine (44) were other team leaders.

M-S (10-0) returns to action on Monday (Sept. 19) in the Apollo Conference Meet at Mattoon.
