Avery Allen nearly recorded a double-double on Tuesday (Oct. 3) as the Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team swept to victory at Mount Zion, 25-12, 25-12.
Allen logged 10 digs and nine kills to go with four service aces.
Ellie Dallas posted 10 assists and four digs. Erin Dallas contributed seven assists and two service aces.
M-S (22-4) is 6-1 in Apollo Conference matches and returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 5) at home against Taylorville. The match will determine undisputed possession of first place in the conference. Taylorville also has a 6-1 league mark.
The Bulldogs’ junior varsity squad rolled up a win at Mount Zion, 25-21, 25-12. The M-S freshmen rallied for a victory, 15-21, 21-16,16-14.
