Bulldogs capture seventh victory

Mahomet-Seymour’s seventh-grade boys’ basketball team rolled up its seventh victory in as many games on Tuesday (Nov. 15) with a convincing 43-11 triumph at Charleston.

Konner Fisher tallied a game-high 14 points. Tristen Adams tossed in 11 points

On Monday (Nov. 14), the Bulldogs survived in their closest decision of the season, a 38-36 conquest at home over Normal Parkside.

Fisher nailed three three-point shots on the way to a team-high 15 points. Bradley Jones chipped in with nine points and Adams added eight points.

Preston Clark notched both of his points from the free throw line and is 10-for-10 from the line through seven games.

On Thursday (Nov. 10), the Bulldogs posted a 38-8 win at Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

Adams and Levi Lunney led the way for the Bulldogs with seven points apiece. Jackson Tieffel contributed six points and Camden Beedy added five points.

The eighth-grade Bulldog squad edged Charleston, 41-38, behind a 16-point outing by Paxson O’Malley. Bryson Tiefenthaler collected a season-high 11 points and Coy Benway chipped in with seven points.

The M-S eighth-graders suffered a 39-28 loss to Parkside. Landon Busch led the way with 11 points. O’Malley and Tiefenthaler each scored four points.

The M-S eighth-graders didn’t allow a field goal during a 38-1 triumph at PBL.

O’Malley nailed a game-high 14 points. Parker Henry and Ben Ohms both netted six points.

The eighth-graders have a 5-2 season record.

The Bulldogs return to action on Monday (Nov. 21) at Normal Chiddix.
