Despite a near double-double by sophomore Avery Allen, the Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team dropped a three-set loss to visiting Normal University High on Thursday (Sept. 16).
U-High topped the Bulldogs, 29-27, 19-25, 25-18.
Allen was one dig shy of a double-double, totaling 11 kills and nine digs. Caylee Folken handed out 19 assists.
M-S (12-5) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 21) at Effingham.
The M-S junior varsity rallied to beat U-High, 19-25, 25-15, 15-8, and the freshmen team swept the Pioneers, 25-16, 25-18.
