Junior Ainsley Winters carded an 86 on Monday (Oct. 4) at the Auburn Class 1A girls’ golf sectional tournament and qualified for state.
She placed ninth overall at the Edgewood Golf Course.
As a team, the Bulldogs’ composite score was 403. They finished in sixth place. The top three teams earned automatic berths at the state finals.
The Bulldogs’ other sectional participants were junior Kayla McKinney (99), senior Gaby Davis (108), junior Emma Dallas (110), junior Maddy Clark (119) and sophomore Jama Craig (139).
The two-day state meet starts on Friday (Oct. 8) at Decatur’s Red Tail Run Golf Course.
