M-S Wrestling on 5-meet win streak

The unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour wrestling team made Prairie Central its fifth consecutive victim, 76-6, on Tuesday (May 11) in a dual meet at Mahomet.

M-S won three bouts by pin, two by technical fall and eight by forfeit.

The Bulldogs’ pinners were Payton Ragona (126 pounds in 5 minutes, 23 seconds); Brennan Houser (180 pounds in 2 minutes, 44 seconds) and Mateo Casillas (195 pounds in 2 minutes, 43 seconds).

The team’s technical fall victors were Caden Hatton (106 pounds with a 23-8 decision) and Logan Hillard (138 pounds with a 16-1 decision).

M-S (5-0) returns to action on Thursday at home for Senior Night with matches scheduled against Monticello and Toledo Cumberland. The Bulldogs feature eight seniors on a 32-person roster.
