Isaac Warren collected his team-high fourth hat trick of the season on Tuesday (Oct. 3), sparking the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team to a 5-0 victory at home against Mattoon.
The Bulldogs expanded a 1-0 halftime lead by putting up four second-half scores.
Warren also had one assist.
Nolan Wheeler and Brody Back each tallied one goal. Back had one assist. Preston Sriver assisted on three of the M-S goals.
The Bulldogs (11-3-4) are 6-0-2 in Apollo Conference matches and return to action on Saturday (Oct. 7) at Danville. M-S has a slender two-point lead over Mount Zion (5-0-3) for first place in the Apollo. Each school has two league matches remaining, but none against each otrher.
