Marx and Carney place in Top 10 at First to Finish Charger Indoor Girls’ Track and Field Invitational

Freshman Madalyn Marx and sophomore Kara Carney were the only Mahomet-Seymour athletes to place among the top 10 in their individual events on Saturday (March 4) in the First to Finish Charger Indoor Girls’ Track and Field Invitational at the University of Illinois Armory.

Marx won the 400 meters in the 11-school meet. She was timed in a personal-best 1 minute, 2.19 seconds.

Marc also placed third in the 200 meters, logging a personal best of 26.34 seconds.

Carney placed ninth in the high jump, clearing a personal-best 4 feet, 3 inches.

M-S returns to action on Saturday (March 11) at Mount Zion in the Apollo Conference Invitational.
