Mahomet-Seymour golf finishes 8th at Champaign Invitational

Freshman Reis Claybrooke posted the top score for Mahomet-Seymour’s boys’ golf team on Friday (Aug. 27) in the Champaign Central Invitational at the UI Orange Course, in Savoy.

Claybrooke fired an 18-hole score of 82, but was not among the top 10 individually.

Close behind was teammate Zach Courson (83).

Erik Christianson and Brian Coyne each carded 90s for the Bulldogs.

Finishing with 91s were Brogan Hennesy and Carter Selk.

As a team, the Bulldogs finished in eighth place with a composite score of 345.

M-S returns to action on Monday (Aug. 30) at the UI course with a dual meet against Centennial.
