Mahomet-Seymour Soccer match ends in tie with Normal Community

Seniors Abby Bunting and Janel Straub accounted for the lone Mahomet-Seymour goal on Tuesday (May 9) as the Bulldogs secured a 1-1 tie against Normal Community in a girls’ soccer match at Middletown Field.

Bunting’s goal opened the second-half scoring and kept M-S in the lead until Normal created a tie on a goal with three seconds remaining in the match.

Though his team was unable to capture the win, M-S coach Jeremy Davis said, “the Bulldogs played their best soccer of the year.”

M-S (11-4-3) returns to action at home on Thursday (May 11) against Morton.
