Savannah Orgeron made a team-high 16 points, but M-S was unable to hold onto a halftime lead and dropped a 65-45 decision to visiting Danville on Monday in a non-conference girls’ basketball game.

Orgeron has led the team in scoring in four of the last six games.

The Bulldogs led 31-30 at halftime, but were limited to 14 second-half points.

Makayla Rosenbery, who has committed to Lincoln Christian College, netted 14 points. Ashley Wheeler added seven points.

Wheeler and Cayla Koerner each grabbed six rebounds. Koerner also handed out a team-high four assists.

M-S (16-13) concludes the regular-season on Friday at home against Taylorville. The game will be the opener in a boys/girls doubleheader.

The Bulldogs were assigned to the Decatur MacArthur Class 3A regional and will face a Tuesday semifinal game against Urbana at 7:30 p.m.
