The Mahomet Public Library offers summer programs for children of all ages and abilities throughout June and July. Check out what is coming up!
The Mahomet Public Library will continue their regularly scheduled storytimes throughout the summer months:
- Baby Storytime (0-2 years): Tuesdays, 9:30-9:50am
- Toddler Storytime (2-3.5 years): Wednesdays, 9:30-9:50am
- Preschool Storytime (3.5-6+ years): Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, 10-10:40am
Independent Summer Reading Programs for All Ages
Do you like to play bingo?
From May 28 to August 9, readers can earn beads from the Mahomet Public Library as they make their way through fun reading activities that will lead to the coveted bingo.
Each bingo also leads to a raffle ticket towards end-of-the-summer prize drawings.
Bingo cards are available at the Mahomet Public Library or online.
Chapter by Chapter (lower elementary)
Tuesdays at 12 to 12:45 in June and July: June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23: For those entering grades K-2 in Fall 2019
Join the Mahomet Public Library weekly to read through two chapter books (one for June and one for July). After each week’s reading, the group will talk about the story and have a snack.
Can’t make it to every meeting? Don’t worry! They will recap at the beginning of each session.

Tuesdays at 1:15 to 2 p.m. in June and July: June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23: For those entering grades 3-5 in Fall 2019
Join the Mahomet Public Library to read through Front Desk by Kelly Yang over the course of the summer. After reading, the group will talk about the story and have a snack.

World Art for Kids
Wednesdays 3 to 4 p.m. in June and July: June 5, 12, 19, 26 and July 3, 10, 17, 24: For students entering grades K-5 in Fall 2019
The Mahomet Public Library staff will teach students about a different artist and art style each week. The student will create your own art to go along with the theme.
Thursday Morning Movies
Thursdays 9:30 to 11:30 in June and July: June 6,13,20,27 and July 11,18,25
