Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Mahomet-Seymour 7th Grade Basketball

Mahomet-Seymour’s seventh-grade basketball team began the 2022-23 season with 11 consecutive wins, finishing with a school record of 24. 

The Bulldogs won the IESA Regional title, defeating Danville North Ridge 49-31 on Jan. 27. They went on to lose to undefeated Rochester.

Jackson Golden led the Bulldogs in scoring in fifteen games while Preston Clark drained 94.7 percent of his 19 free-throw attempts. Clark also added 17 three-pointers throughout the season while Konner Fisher made 37 three-pointers. Tristen Adams had the team’s top individual scoring performance with 22 points vs. Champaign Jefferson). Golden had a 20-point outing against Danville North Ridge.
