Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Addison Schulze

Mahomet-Seymour Junior High pitcher Addison Schulze is hitting her stride as the Bulldog look to close out the 2022 softball season.

Just last week, Schulze helped Mahomet-Seymour pick up a 10-0 win at home, pitching a no-hitter against Clinton at home. The next day, Schulze returned to the mound, delivering a one-hit pitching performance as the Bulldogs beat Rantoul Eater 14-0. In total, she struck out 18 batters in the two-day period. 

Earlier this season, Schulze fired a no-hitter, 11-strikeout performance with one walk in a 17-0 win over Champaign Franklin. Then against Champaign Jefferson she pitched a one-hitter, walking one batter in a 15-0 win. 

Mahomet-Seymour faces Jefferson again at home on Sept. 8 when they begin postseason play.
