Lincoln ends Mahomet-Seymour win streak

Cayla Koerner and Savannah Orgeron combined for 34 points on Thursday (Feb. 18) at Lincoln, but the other Mahomet-Seymour players were limited to four points as the Railsplitters captured a 48-38 victory.

The teams were tied, 8-8, after one quarter. By halftime, Lincoln had created a 21-14 cushion.

Koerner registered her fourth 20-point game of the season, hitting a team-high 20 points. Orgeron added 14 points and cleared a team-high seven rebounds. Each Bulldog stalwart swished two three-point shots.

The loss snapped a four-game M-S winning streak.

The Bulldogs (4-3) return to action on Monday (Feb. 22) at home against Mattoon.
