Junior Leif Olson was the lone Mahomet-Seymour golfer to qualify for the state tournament after the Monday (Oct. 3) Class 2A Limestone Sectional at Coyote Creek Golf Course.
Olson carded a 76 and tied for 10th in the 109-player field. All individuals who shot 78, or lower, advanced to the state finals, which start on Friday (Oct. 8) at Weibring Golf Club, in Normal.
M-S teammates Reis Claybrooke and Jacob Schoudel posted 80s and tied for 24th place.
Kelton Hennesy shot an 84 and tied for 34th.
Other M-S competitors were Parker Clements (86) and Blake Harvey (92).
