Courson and Selk in three-way tie for first at Lake of the Woods meet

Zach Courson and Carter Selk finished in a three-way tie for first individually on Thursday (Aug. 27) at Lake of the Woods as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team posted its third consecutive dual-meet triumph.

Courson and Selk each carded 40s.

Other Bulldog participants were C.J. Shoaf (42), who was fourth individually, Blake Harvey (46), Brian Coyne (47) and Jameson Drinkwalter (51).

M-S (3-1) posted its best team-score of the season in beating the Tigers, 168-200.

The Bulldogs’ top junior varsity scorers were Braden Houchin (42), Jackson White (43), Ryan Long (45), Erik Christianson (45) and John Schlenker (48).

M-S returns to action on Monday (Aug. 31) against Centennial at the UI course in Savoy.
