Claybrooke ties for medalist honors at Willow Pond

Sophomore Reis Claybrooke tied for medalist honors on Thursday (Aug. 11) as the Mahomet-Seymour Boys’ golf team opened its season with a 157-165 dual-meet win over Rantoul/Paxton-Buckley-Loda at Willow Pond.
Claybrooke fired a 37.
Three Bulldogs carded 40s: Blake Harvey, Kelton Hennesy and Leif Olson.
M-S’ other varsity players were Brogan Hennesy (44) and Riley Dowers (48).
In the junior varsity portion of the meet, Bulldogs Parker Clements and Jacob Schoudel shared top honors. Each posted a 40.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Monday (Aug. 15) in the Urbana Tiger Kick-Off Classic at Urbana Country Club.
