Centennial edged out Mahomet-Seymour on University of Illinois course

Zach Courson tied for second and Carter Selk placed fourth individually on Monday, but the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team dropped a narrow decision to Centennial at the University of Illinois Orange course at Savoy.

Courson fired a 42 and Selk carded a 43.

Centennial won the dual meet, 171-177.

Other scorers for the Bulldogs (3-2) were Brian Coyne (46), C.J. Shoaf (46), Jackson White (47) and Jameson Drinkwalter (49).

M-S returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 3) against Urbana at the UI course.
