Junior Zach Courson continued his consistent season on Thursday (Sept. 3), leading the Bulldogs past Urbana 173-192 in a boys’ golf dual meet at the University of Illinois Blue Course, in Savoy.
For the sixth time in seven meets, Courson posted the Bulldogs’ best score. His nine-hole tally was 42 and he tied for second place overall.
Three teammates finished their round just behind Courson.
Brian Coyne came in at 43, followed by Jameson Drinkwalter and Carter Selk, each of whom fired 44s.
Jackson White carded a 51 and C.J Shoaf had a 59.
In junior varsity action, M-S’ Jacob Louis fired a 43 and Erik Christianson carded a 46.
Drinkwalter and Louis registered their best scores of the season. Coyne matched his best score.
The Bulldogs are 4-2 in dual meets and will face Monticello on Tuesday (Sept. 8) at Lake of the Woods.
