Bulldogs hand Lincoln a 3-1 Apollo Conference loss

Despite the absence of three starters, the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ soccer team handed Lincoln a 3-1 loss on Thursday (April 27).

M-S led, 1-0, at intermission.

The Bulldogs are 2-0 against the Railsplitters this season. A third match could take place if both schools advance to the regional finals later this month.

Brielle Galvan, Ella Walk and Paislee Welge scored the Bulldogs’ goals. Welge leads the team with 18 goals.

Alaina Jared had two assists.

M-S (10-2-2) returns to action on Tuesday (May 2) at Mattoon, the school which dealt the Bulldogs their lone Apollo Conference setback in eight matches to date. Lincoln has a 10-5 season record.
