Junior libero Libby Bodine totaled 18 digs as Mahomet-Seymour’s volleyball team opened the season with a two-set sweep at Champaign Central, 25-18, 25-22, on Tuesday (Aug. 24).
Maddie Gaede handed out nine assists. Grace Rodebaugh finished with seven digs, six kills and three blocks. Avery Allen and Chloe Pruitt each landed four kills. Allen served three aces.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Tuesday (Aug 31) at Urbana.
In the junior varsity match, M-S defeated Central, 25-17, 25-21. The Bulldog freshmen won, 25-14, 25-22.
