Taylorville pulls away from Mahomet-Seymour in fourth quarter

Savannah Orgeron netted 15 points and Kylie Waldinger added a season-high 14 points on Monday (Dec. 5), but the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team fell short at home against Taylorville, 48-46.

The Apollo Conference opponents were tied, 13-13 after one quarter, 25-25 at halftime and 37-37 after three quarters.

Durbin Thomas registered seven points and Abby Bunting made six points. Thomas blocked two shots and Bunting ended with two steals.

The top M-S rebounders were Waldinger (six), Bunting (four) and Thomas (four).

M-S (5-3) return to action on Thursday (Dec. 8) at Charleston.
