Strong weekend for MSHS Basketball, Dance, Swimming and Cheer

Mahomet-Seymour Dance Team placed first at Arlington Heights Dance Competition Saturday.

MSHS Boys Swim Team

The Mahomet Seymour High School Boys swim team kicked off their season on Saturday, December 2, with a strong winning performance over Apollo conference rival Charleston.  The Aqua Dawgs outscored the Trojans 168 to 118 in the contest.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs were senior Dante Waters with wins in the 100 Free and 100 Back, and junior Gavin Groff with wins in the 200 Free and 500 Free.  

In the 200 Free, Gavin Groff, Ryan Whitehouse, and Zach Orr finished 1, 2, 3. Three trios of aqua dogs finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the following events:  200 Individual Medley, William Larson, Garret Williams, Evan Herriott; 50 Free, Colin Balbach, Grant Brown, Corey Cebulski, 100 Butterfly, William Larson, Garret Williams, Ryan Coulson.

MSHS Boys Basketball

The Mahomet-Seymour boys basketball team outscored Charleston through four quarters to win their first home game of the 2017-2018 season 70-43.

Cory Noe connected on 4 of 7 3-point attempts, leading all scorers with 30 points. Noah Benedict grabbed 9 rebounds and scored 7 points.

MSHS Cheer Team

The Mahomet-Seymour Cheer team placed first in the Medium Varsity Division at Pontiac.
