Starrick’s pitching helps Mahomet-Seymour reach 12 consecutive wins

Cade Starrick became the ninth Mahomet-Seymour baseball player with a pitching win this spring as the Bulldogs rocked Prairie Central, 12-1, at home on Monday (May 8).

Starrick worked the first four innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk. He struck out two batters.

Kody Ackman pitched a hitless fifth inning.

Alex McHale, Carter Selk and Ben Wagner all ripped two hits. Selk hit a home run and had two RBI. Carter Johnson also drove in two runs.

McHale scored three runs. Crossing home plate twice apiece were Selk and Braden Houchin, who stole three bases.

M-S (25-3) owns a 12-game winning streak and returns to action on Thursday (May 11) at home against Tri-Valley.
