Six residents announce Mahomet-Seymour School Board Candidacy

Six Mahomet residents have filed as candidates for the Mahomet-Seymour School Board election, which will be held on April 4, 2017.

Incumbents Merle Giles and Board President Max McComb will seek re-election for a four-year term. Lance Raver, who was appointed to the board in 2016, looks to finish out the rest of his term, which expires in tw0 years.

Challengers Kenneth Keefe, Lori Larson and Jason Tompkins are also seeking four-year terms. Constituents will vote which candidates will fill the available four seats

There are four seats available in the spring election. Board member Becky Ryherd is stepping down after serving since 2009.
