MSHS Volleyball
The Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team defeated Effingham 22-25, 25-23, 28-26 Tuesday night.
Savannah Matthews had 16 kills and Sam Hites had 6. Maddy Livingston, Hannah Buzicky and Chloe Henkel were also strong around the net, coming up with 11 digs for Livingston and 10 for Buzicky and Henkel.
Kayin Garner and Amber Yeakel each had 3 blocks. Garner added 30 assists.
MSHS Soccer
Mahomet-Seymour moves to 9-2-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the Apollo conference with an 11-0 win over Effingham Tuesday.
Austin Carr scored 4 goals. Connor Johnson scored one, Logan Woodward had two assists and one goal, Callan Whitehouse had two goals, Kerry Lippoold had two assists and one goal, Ethan Masfield had two goals and two assists and Trever Burgess had two assists.
