Mahomet-Seymour Tennis drops match at Centennial

The Bulldogs dropped a 9-0 decision at Centennial on Tuesday (Sept. 15).

At No. 1 singles, Amalie Fried won five games in a 6-4, 6-1 loss. At No. 3 singles, Emma Clements won four games in a 6-1, 6-3 loss and at No. 6 singles, Gianna Hill also won four games in a 6-4, 6-0 loss.

The rest of the Bulldogs’ singles lineup was Molly Fried (No. 2), Gwen Tee (No.4) and Sophia Slupski (No. 5).

In doubles, the M-S No. 1 and 3 units of Amalie Fried and Clements as well as Molly Fried and Hill, respectively, won four games. The scores for Amalie Fried and Clements were 6-1, 6-3. Molly Fried and Hill ended with a 6-2, 6-2 loss.

M-S’ No. 2 doubles teams consisted of Gwen Tee and Carlotta Balucani.

M-S (1-1) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 17) at Mattoon.
