The Mahomet-Seymour girls’ golf season came to an end on Monday (Oct. 2) in the Class 2A sectional tournament at Ironwood Golf Course, in Normal.

The Bulldogs had five individuals who competed at the sectional and were led by Brooke Hartman, who carded a 90 and tied for 44th in the 111-player field.

Teammate Sophie Park shot a 94 and tied for 61st.

The other M-S participants were Elena Tompkins (99), Jama Craig (101) and Sydney Carleton (104).

The cutoff for individuals qualifying for state was 82.

Team honors were won by Normal University High (320). The other schools to advance full teams to state from the sectional were Lincoln Way East (327) and Lincoln Way Central (336).
