Perhaps the most memorable moment came in the Apollo Conference baseball opener against Effingham on April 6. With the Bulldogs down by three and facing game point, Bailey was up to bat with bases loaded. The tension was palpable. Bailey faced a full-count pitch that could end it all but instead launched a grand slam home run, turning the tide and snatching a dramatic 4-3 victory for Mahomet-Seymour.

Consistent Hitting and Run Production

Bailey’s consistency was on full display throughout the week. On April 13, during the Apollo Conference doubleheader against Charleston, he hit three-run homers in each game, contributing massively to the team’s 9-0 and 11-1 victories. Overall, Bailey was 3-for-6 with a double across the two games, driving in eight runs, a testament to his reliability and power.
