Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Cole Marshall

Mahomet-Seymour Senior Cole Marshall secured a spot in the 2023 IHSA Class 2A boys’ track and field state meet by winning the triple jump at the Mattoon Sectional.

Marshall recorded a personal best of 42 feet, 11 inches, defeating the second-place finisher by three inches. The jump places sixth place on the all-time M-S leaderboard.

Marshall also qualified for the 200-m state championship competition with another personal best time of 22.35. Marshall will also run in the 400-m relay with Travis Hoffman, Jayvon Irwin, and DeAngelo Hughey. With a finishing time of 43.07 seconds at the Mattoon Sectional, the foursome stands at second on the all-time M-S record board.
