IDPH withdraws emergency rule after opposition

The Illinois Department of Public Health announced that it is withdrawing the emergency rule that was established on May 15 during the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules Wednesday afternoon.

An update by Deputy Minority Leader Rep. Tom Demmer on Twitter stated: “JCAR Update: Because of significant opposition from members of JCAR and the public, Governor Pritzker has agreed to repeal his emergency rule that would have imposed a Class A Misdemeanor on those who are out of compliance with his stay-at-home Executive Order.”
