HARDY and Lainey Wilson to headline Mahomet Music Festival

Hairbanger’s Ball, Champaign Freight, HARDY, Lainey Wilson and Mahomet native Onoleigh will headline the 2021 Mahomet Music Festival to be held on August 27 and 28.

Friday night’s lineup includes Hairbanger’s Ball and Champaign Freight! Saturday night will feature county music artist HARDY, Lainey Wilson and Onoleigh.

The Saturday Christian music headliner is yet to be announced.

With every new release, HARDY puts his signature loud-and-rowdy stamp on

modern country music as both an artist and a songwriter. Following the release of HIXTAPE

VOL. 1 – 17 all-star collaborations on 10 tracks, including current single “One Beer” featuring

Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson – the unprecedented compilation album was praised as “one

of the most ambitious projects of the year” (Billboard). The countrified mixtape follows career-

launching EPs THIS OLE BOY and WHERE TO FIND ME, and earned HARDY acclaim as a VevoDSCVR artist, a MusicRow 2020 Next Big Thing artist, and “One To Watch” by CMT, Rolling Stone, Amazon, Pandora and more. The pride of Philadelphia, MS is “one of Music Row’s most consistent hit-makers on the rise” (CMT), tallying writing credits on four PLATINUM-certified #1 singles in 18 months – including FGL’s 2X PLATINUM “Simple,” Chris Lane’s “I Don’t Know About You” and Shelton’s 2X PLATINUM “God’s Country.” Gaining recognition, HARDY has received the elite CMA Triple Play Award honoring Country Music’s greatest storytellers and is a first-time ACM nominee up for both Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year (“God’s Country”).

One of Country music’s most promising young stars, (Whiskey Riff) Lainey Wilson is the total package. Earning the enthusiasm of the industry, named as an “Artist to Watch” by MusicRow, Pandora, The Boot, and Sounds Like Nashville (to name a few) and included in CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and “Listen Up” programs, the Louisiana native is one of Nashville’ most buzzed-about new artists, garnering early praise for her “unabashedly down-home and unflappably worldly” (NPR) style and exhibiting “just enough scars and pragmatism to write great, universal country songs” (Taste of Country). Set to release her first label album this February, her music has already been featured in the hit drama series Yellowstone three times, graced the Grand Ole Opry stage and was featured in publications like Forbes, Rolling Stone, New York Times, Billboard and NPR. With a rockstar stage presence, her artistry has taken her across the globe, performing for sold-out crowds throughout the US, UK, and Germany with notable names like Justin Moore, Tyler Farr, Ashley McBryde, Randy Houser, Josh Turner and more.

General admission to the Mahomet Music Festival is free.
