Fourth of July Weekend Celebration Guide

Farmer City
Fan appreciation and Fireworks at Farmer City Raceway: Adults $5, Kids 12 & under Free, Pit passes: $30, Fireworks will begin at dark.

Mahomet
Freedom Fest, Lake of the Woods, Mahomet: 4 p.m. until dark, Admission is $2 per person, with children 5 and under free. Military persons with ID get in free, Music and Boat Rentals open at 4 p.m., additional cost.

Rantoul
Firecracker 5K: On-site registration and packet pick up starts at 5:00 pm. The 5k starts at 6:00 pm and the Kid’s 1k starts at 7:00 pm. Registration will take place in front of Lindsey Lane Bridal on 200 E. Sangamon Ave, Rantoul. The start line will be at State Farm Insurance at 320 E. Sangamon Ave, Rantoul. The kid’s 1k race will start at State Farm Insurance as well. Please practice social distancing.
Fireworks: Rantoul Airport

Villa Grove
Freedom Celebration: 6 p.m. Richman Park, Bike Parade, Firemen Fun, Waterballoon Fun, Library Activities, Dunk Tank, Barrel Train Rides, Kidde Tractor Pull, Fireworks

July 3

Danville
Danville Boat Club, Music at 6:30, fireworks around 9 to 9:30 p.m., 15750 Boat Club Rd, $5 admission

Monticello
Freedom Festival, begins at 4 p.m., ends with fireworks, 1831 N 1225 East Rd.

Rantoul
Parade: 9:30 a.m.Start at MapleGrove Plaza, turning right onto 136, then another right onto Grove Street, left on Fredrick and then through to end at Wabash Park. 

Seymour
Seymour Fourth of July parade: 10 a.m., free
Fireworks: at dusk at Seymour Fire Department

July 4

Champaign County Freedom Celebration: approximately 9:15 pm, University of Illinois parking lot E-14 located just west of the State Farm Center. No food vendors or other entertainment will be provided. Guests are asked to view the fireworks from dispersed locations and avoid areas where social distancing is not possible. The University of Illinois requires that face coverings must be worn in all public places and settings on campus where social distancing of six feet cannot be maintained. This includes outdoor spaces on campus and while traveling to and from events.

Homer
Vendors, such as Bud’s BBQ, the Moo Mobile, and the usual inflatable/glow stick vendor will be available prior to the firework event at dusk

St. Joseph
Fourth of July Parade, A parade that will begin at  St Joseph Middle School at 12:30 pm, heading down Main Street, Grand and Park before ending at the St. Joseph Community Park will end with a Flag Retirement Ceremony by Pack and Troop 40 near the Memorial at the Community Park. Troop 40 is hoping to replace some flags with donations from business and community donors. The troop will have donation containers along the parade route. A $5 donation is suggested. Flags will be displayed at St. Joseph-Ogden High School and along Main Street.
