Meet medalist Kelton Hennesy, a freshman from Mahomet-Seymour, led the Bulldogs to victory on Tuesday (Sept. 6) in a three-school boys’ golf meet at Lake of the Woods.
Hennesy matched his season’s best score with a 37, to finish one shot in front of runner-up Will Ross, from Monticello.
Placing third individually was M-S’ Blake Harvey (39).
Other Bulldog scorers were Reis Claybrooke (41), Leif Olson (42), Parker Clements (43) and Jacob Schoudel (43).
The Bulldogs’ final tally was 159. Monticello totaled a 167 and Rantoul put up a 181.
M-S also entered a junior varsity team, which finished with a composite score of 168.
The co-leaders for the Bulldogs’ JV squad were Brogan Hennesy and Cole Thrasher with 41s.
Camden Snodsmith posted a 42 and Jake Rothlisberger added a 44.
M-S returns to action on Friday (Sept. 9) in the Mattoon Invitational.
