The Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team extended its winning streak to 12 matches on Thursday (Oct. 14) with a two-set sweep at home over Apollo Conference opponent Effingham, 25-8, 25-20.
Maddie Gaede had 13 assists along with two service aces. Haylie Orton contributed six kills, three aces and one block.
M-S (24-5) returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 19) at Charleston in its final Apollo match of the season. The Bulldogs are 10-1 in league play.
In junior varsity action on Thursday, M-S (18-7 season record) topped Effingham 25-22, 16-25, 15-9. The Bulldog freshmen (29-1 season record) also won, 21-19, 21-9.
