Bulldogs drop at close game at home against Mattoon

Dayten Eisenmann netted a team-high 12 points on Tuesday (Jan. 10) for Mahomet-Seymour’s boys’ basketball team, which dropped a narrow 51-48 decision at home to Mattoon in the Coaches Vs. Cancer game.

M-S trailed, 11-4, after one quarter but had shot into a 35-34 lead after three periods.

Trey Peters chipped in with nine points, four rebounds and three assists. Wyatt Bohm contributed eight points, six rebounds and five assists.

Finn Randolph also handed out five assists.

M-S (7-9) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 17) at Washington. Five of the team’s nine losses have been by less than 10 points.
