The Lake of the Woods was the site for two holes-in-one during the last week of September.

The first occurred on Saturday (Sept. 25) by Mahomet-Seymour sixth-grader Hunter Benson.

He notched his second career hole-in-oe on the third hole of the par-3 course. Benson used an USKG 56-degree sand wedge to ace the 85-yard hole.

His feat was witnessed by Forrest Benson.

On Thursday (Sept. 30), Greg Gonda, of Champaign, aced the fourth hole on the regulation course.

He used a Ping 7-iron to record his first hole-in-one.  It came on a 140-yard shot.

His shot was witnessed by Joe McDaniel, Ray Rhoads and Hank Hornbeck.
