The festive season in Mahomet is set to shine brighter as the much-anticipated “Hodges and Dodges MARVELous and SANTA Extravaganza” returns for its third year on Dec. 22. This unique holiday event, combining the magic of Christmas with the excitement of Marvel superheroes, promises to be a delightful experience for the whole family.
At 106 Red Bud Court, the Hodges Christmas Light Show will kick off the evening. Visitors are invited to bask in the glow of spectacular illuminations while enjoying a special visit from Santa Claus. To enhance the experience, guests can tune their radios to 103.3 FM for a synchronized musical treat.
The festive journey continues at 206 Spruce, famously known as the “Superhero House.” Here, fans can meet their favorite Marvel characters, Spider Gwen and Fat Thor, while tuning into 99.9 FM for another round of synchronized holiday tunes.
In the spirit of giving, both locations are collecting donations for worthy causes. The Hodges house supports Mom’s Pantry by accepting item donations from their list and monetary contributions. Meanwhile, the Dodges house is dedicated to helping the American Cancer Society through monetary donations.
This annual event has become a cherished tradition in the Lakeview Subdivision off of Tin Cup Road in Mahomet. Jason Hodges and Joe Dodge, the masterminds behind these dazzling displays, spend the entire year planning to ensure each year is more spectacular than the last.
