Hard work pays off for MSHS Swimming and Wrestling at the beginning of the season

MSHS Boys Swimming

Commitment to training and sacrifice are two pillars that have helped with continued success for the Mahomet-Seymour boys swim team.

The Bulldogs placed second in the tri-meet with Normal West High School and Urbana High School Monday. Normal West took first place with a score of 259.

Head Coach Dean Ekberg said Seniors Garret Williams and Ryan Coulson, who swam and placed in the two most physically challenging events, the 200 yard Individual Medley and the 100 yard Butterfly, were needed to complete the varsity team roster in these events, and accepted the challenge.

Monday’s meet was the first competition for Junior Divers Dalton Demay and Jeremy Killian, who placed second and third in the event.
