Mahomet-Seymour golf finishes season at 2A regional

Mahomet-Seymour had three top-20 performers on Tuesday (Oct. 6) in the Normal University High Class 2A boys’ golf regional at Weibring Golf Course.

Junior Erik Christianson fired an 82 and tied for 10^th. Senior C.J. Shoaf carded an 83 and tied for 12. Another Bulldog, junior Zach Courson, shot an 86 and tied for 17^th.

The top two teams (Prairie Central and U-High) qualified for sectional as did the top four individuals not on an advancing team.

Christianson missed by one shot of advancing and Shoaf was two shots away from continuing his season.

The other M-S regional participants were Blake Harvey (31^st with a 92), Jameson Drinkwalter (tied for 32^nd with a 93) and Carter Selk (tied for 35^th with a 96).

M-S shot a season-low 18-hole total of 343 and placed fourth in the nine-team event.
