Mahomet-Seymour Speech takes fifth in Olympia competition

The Mahomet-Seymour High School Speech Team brought home fifth place overall in their second tournament of this “virtual” competition season.

On Nov. 7, 16 MSHS students went up against 18 other schools throughout Illinois in a speech tournament hosted by Olympia High School.

Madison Ade, Joshua Park, Tadeo Ruiz, Brogan Hennesy, Kylie Jackson, Mallory Fonte, and Aera Boateng earned Varsity Honors.

In the JV division, Izzy Fonte, Alec Berg, Anna Lambros, and Madison Ade received honors.

The team will compete next weekend in the Viking Varsity Challenge, hosted by Fremd High School in Palatine IL.
