Opening night is slated for Friday, April 12th, at 7:00 pm in the high school auditorium, promising to be an evening filled with enchantment and laughter. The performance schedule includes additional evening shows on April 13th, 19th, and 20th at 7:00 pm, alongside Sunday matinee performances on April 14th and 21st at 2:00 pm, ensuring ample opportunity for community members to enjoy the production.

“Hello, Dolly!” centers on the bold and charming Dolly Levi, who turns her socialite’s grace towards matchmaking. Her latest project involves the “half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder, and a young artist named Ambrose, who is hopelessly in love with Horace’s niece, Ermengarde. Dolly’s intricate plans and schemes involve Horace’s employees and a New York hatmaker, revealing her own hidden romantic ambitions.

This production is a celebration of love, adventure, and the enduring spirit of the human heart, with the high school students bringing their own unique energy and interpretation to the beloved musical. This year, the drama department has chosen to double-cast some roles, offering more students the opportunity to shine on stage and gain invaluable experience in the world of theater.

The Mahomet-Seymour High School Drama Department invites the community to join them in celebrating the hard work and talent of its students with this delightful production of “Hello, Dolly!” Don’t miss the chance to support these young performers and witness a classic tale of love and adventure come to life on stage.
