Cambron’s Double Strikes Secure Mahomet-Seymour’s 2-0 Soccer Victory Over Metamora

Gwen Cambron scored two first-half goals on Friday (March 22) and the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ soccer team made the lead stand up in a 2-0 shutout win at Metamora.

Izzy Lietz and Hadley Grotelueschen collected assists for the Bulldogs.

Goalkeeper Maggie Moore stopped all six of Metamora’s shots.

In the junior varsity match, M-S registered a 1-0 victory. Zoey Wallace scored, with an assist from Claire Waggoner. Goalkeeper Anna Streicher recorded her second shutout.

M-S (1-1) will return to action on Tuesday (March 26) at home against Urbana (2-0).
